Easter

In March and April, outreach teams (joined by the Easter Bunny) went through the community inviting people to the Easter service. These efforts led to a record attendance of 160 people on Easter morning.

The Easter service included a few ambitious plans all coming together. First, four of the Children's Church teachers put together a short Easter drama presentation with some of the young people in the church. The drama featured a reenactment of the resurrection of Jesus. Two little girls made a welcome last-minute change to the skit: they added a Christian song they learned in school, and it was perfect. The skit was followed by a sermon about the resurrection, an altar call, and communion.

Next, there was an Easter egg hunt which was affected by the rain. It was moved to the upstairs hallway, and each child walked away with a little bag of eggs and candy. Following this, there was a free lunch in the downstairs fellowship hall. Much of the meal came from H&B Peruvian Restaurant, so of course it was the best food in town.

Revival Services

On April 23-26, Pastor Andy Anderson preached five church services and held an area-wide men's discipleship class. Pastor Anderson is a gifted musician and he performed piano music in addition to the sermons. There was prayer for the sick and two people answered the altar call to say prayers of repentance.
